• Lee Lipsitz

  DVM

  Dr. Lee Lipsitz earned her DVM degree from Michigan State University in 1996. While at MSU also received a MS and PhD in the field of neurotoxicology. Although she planned to stay in academia and teach future veterinarians she just couldn't give up the day-to-day satisfaction of working in a private practice. Although originally a New Yorker, Dr. Lipsitz moved from Michigan to Connecticut in 2002 and has been with Baybrook Animal Hospital since then. She loves all aspects of the practice but especially loves dentistry, surgery and ultrasound. Dr. Lipsitz is married, has two sons and two small dogs, Cricket and Emilio. In her spare time she loves to garden, read anything, and train for triathlons and crossfit fitness competitions.

• Neil Mandel

  DVM

  Dr. Neil Mandel received his Masters of Science degree in molecular biology from the NYU School of Medicine in 1980 and his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Araneta University in the Philippenes in 1985. He has been in private practice since 1986 and has a special interest in orthopedic surgery and oncology.

• Melanie Janicki

  DVM

  Dr. Melanie Janicki was born and raised in Oxford Connecticut. While attending Ross University School of Veterinary medicine, Dr. Janicki spent 2 1/2 years in the island of St Kitts. This is also where she met her future husband who is also a veterinarian. She then spent her last clinical year at the University of Missouri. After graduating, Dr. Janicki went on to work at a private practice in Middletown New York for 4 years. While in NY she married and started a family. Dr Janicki has returned to her homestate to pursue a part time career. Dr. Janicki has two children; Emery and Greyson, a dog Daisy and three cats Brea, Broduer and Bobbie. She has been with Baybrook for 2 years. She loves feline medicine, general surgery, neonatal care and reproduction.

• Elisa Ermilio

  DVM

  Dr. Elisa Ermilio was born and raised in Northern New Jersey. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Cornell University. After moving to Connecticut, she started to work with both small and large animals. Her special interests are pain management, anesthesia and reproduction. Dr. Ermilio is the proud owner of two trouble-making beagles and two cats. In her spare time she enjoys hiking with her dogs, watching football and playing the guitar.
